Hello Everyone!
My name is Namika Zaman Mahmoodi and I have my Masters and Post Masters in Clinical Psychology at Johns Hopkins University, with my License as a Clinical Counseling Professional (LCPC). I also completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, College Park.
I have worked as a licensed therapist in two clinical organizations both in Baltimore City and Baltimore County, where I provide individual and group therapy to adults and minors for clients facing addiction, mental health illness, and anxiety struggles only to name a few. I also worked for over four years for the Baltimore Alliance for Careers in Healthcare, where I provide career readiness skills and help immigrants and city residents obtain apprenticeship training and employment in healthcare. In the past, I have interned at both a Baltimore County Middle and High School.
Currently, I am working as a community therapist here at Created for Greater for the past two years. I work with both adults and minors for individual and group therapy. I specialize in addictions and utilize an Adlerian or Person-Centered theoretical approach with my clients putting empathy and positive regard at the forefront with my clients.
