Dr. Shereen Ayoubi Psy.D.

Hi, I’m Dr. Shereen Ayoubi. I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Quiet Magic Therapy. My heart lies at the intersection of helping people heal, and coming home to their most authentic selves.

I specialize in working with adults navigating complex trauma, relationship experiences, identity exploration, life transitions, and emotional healing. I approach therapy by integrating relational, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic techniques grounded in cultural humility. I work collaboratively with my patients to explore and honor the full complexity of their stories, examine the patterns and cycles that shape their lives, and help them reconnect with a sense of clarity, authenticity, and self-trust.

I believe healing happens through trust and empowerment. I create space for safe, attuned, and meaningful therapeutic relationships to help each of my patients work toward their goals and reconnect with themselves. With an extensive understanding of systems, oppression, and intergenerational cycles, I also work to help my patients consider the ways in which we carry experiences that are so often bigger than ourselves. Whether you’re sorting through old wounds or recovering parts of you that have long been lost, this is a space for grounding, reflection, and care. I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey and help you to rediscover what’s always been within you, reclaiming your own quiet magic.

I have studied and worked in the field of psychology for over 10 years. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University and completed an APA-accredited internship at George Mason University. I’ve worked in community mental health, university counseling, outpatient clinics, and medical settings. While I am based in Northern Virginia, I provide teletherapy services in over 40 states (check your state here: https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and helping people feel truly seen and supported.
